Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress that appears mainly in Tamil as well as Telugu films, in addition to some Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award as Best Actress in 2018 because of her performance as actress Savitri which was in the Telugu film Mahanati. Other awards she has won include three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South, and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy Kumar is the daughter of film producer G. Suresh Kumar, and actor Menaka G. Suresh. In the early 2000s, she was a teen actress. After completing her studies in fashion design, she returned to the world of film. The first time she starred in a leading role was in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy started working on films that weren't Malayalam in 2015. The actress also signed on to star in multiple Tamil films simultaneously. It was A. L. Vijay along alongside Vikram the director, that released Idhu Enna Maayam in 2015. The movie didn't do much, but it did release. Because of her hectic schedule for 2015, she was forced to withdraw from films on which she already began working, like Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye or Deekay's Kavalaivendam. In the end, she made two films together with Sivakarthikeyan in quick succession, Rajini Murugan and Remo and also played the main role in Prabhu Solomon's Thodari and Dhanush.Her Telugu debut was planned to be Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. But, the movie has been being delayed from 2015 with reports of release after September 2020 under a different title, Janakitho Nunu. In the year 2016 Nenu Sailaja which starred Ram Pothineni, was her debut. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay on screen in Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on 17 January 2017.
