Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than 20 years. She is the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss was born in California and was raised as an heir to a prestigious family. Their father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the manager of the Lakers and other sports businesses. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 She began feeling as if she was abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she became the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. Later, she founded an organization called the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. She served as the head of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president of the Lakers. Buss took over Lakers ownership Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. The five siblings she had took over the franchise through an estate trust. The Lakers named her president. Los Angeles Lakers.
